The Asian Private Banker Technology Awards are accolades awarded to the tech industry’s most innovative and practical solutions. The Technology Awards Luncheon and Champagne Reception will be held in February 2017 and celebrates the end of another challenging and rewarding year of private banking innovation and technological change by those leading the effort to transform private banking and wealth management in Asia.
2016 Categories & Winners
Congratulations to the winners of the Asian Private Banker Technology Awards 2016!
This year, we received over 100 submissions across 16 categories from just over 50 financial technology companies with private banking tech offerings in Asia.
More importantly, the calibre of the submissions is exceptionally high, leaving the Judging Panel with a number of headache-inducing decisions to make.
Due to the growing importance of technology at private banks, Asian Private Banker introduced six new categories in 2016: Best Trading Platform, Best Cloud Provider, Best Robo Advisor Tool, Best KYC & Client Onboarding Tool and Best Market Intel Provider and Fintech Changemaker of the Year.
Two years ago, private banks were pumping up their tech budgets and mapping out complex and innovative tech blueprints. Today, many of these institutions find themselves hamstrung by tightening regulations and regulatory uncertainty, lower fees, spiralling operational costs and talent scarcity.
These challenges have engendered a tough but opportunity-filled business environment for fintechs, which have no choice but to put their best foot forward.
Our selection methodology is straight-forward and transparent: pitches were received both in written-form and in-person. Each and every submission was then analysed and discussed by Asian Private Banker’sindependent editorial team.
Once again, a hearty congratulations to all winners and a big thank you to all who participated. The full write-ups and Judges’ comments can be accessed by clicking the category image.
