Asia Pac, BGI the motor for BlackRock’s Q2 results

BlackRock’s second quarter earnings went up US$214m from a year ago and up US$9m compared to the prior quarter, to US$432m. The gains largely reflect the benefits of an acquisition (of Boston Global Investors) and improved markets, according to the firm.
