Julius Baer buys Merrill Lynch’s wealth management business, adds US$74 billion to AUMs

The much anticipated deal between Swiss-bank Julius Baer and Merrill Lynch Wealth Management has been concluded, with Julius Baer buying all of the American bank’s wealth management operations outside America and Japan. Confirming the news and speaking for the first time about the deal size, a spokesperson for Julius Baer said it was between (US$700 million) and CHF860 million (US$881 million)….
