The leading lights of Asia’s private banking and wealth industries celebrated the winners of Asian Private Banker‘s Awards for Distinction 2024 at a glittering gala dinner in Hong Kong.

More than 250 guests were in attendance at the awards ceremony at the state-of-the-art The Henderson venue in the city’s Central district, including the regional CEOs of private banking heavyweights UBS Global Wealth Management (UBS GWM), Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management Asia (Morgan Stanley PWM Asia), DBS Private Bank, BNP Paribas Wealth Management, and Julius Baer.

Among the big winners at this year’s awards, the leading such programme for the region’s private banking landscape, were UBS GWM, whose regional co-heads Amy Lo and Jin Yee Young were in attendance to collect the accolade for Best Private Bank – Asia Pacific. The Swiss universal bank’s Adeline Chien also picked up the inaugural prize for Market Head of the Year.

Lemuel Lee receives the award for Rising Star of the Year

DBS Private Bank’s group head Joseph Poon collected our flagship Private Banker of the Year award, while BNP Paribas Wealth Management’s Lemuel Lee was handed the prestigious Rising Star of the Year gong. Other notable winners included Morgan Stanley PWM Asia, which retained the esteemed Best Private Bank – Integrated Platform and Best Private Bank – Hong Kong UHNW. HSBC Global Private Banking once again counted the acclaimed Best Private Bank – Wealth Continuum among its own awards haul, while Julius Baer retained the distinguished Best Private Bank – Pure Play prize.
