Exploring the HNW Retirement Solutions Survey 2017

Asia’s wealthy are more cognisant than ever of the importance of growing and preserving legacies, values and wealth for their future generations. Research suggests that, by 2020, Asia – which today has the world’s largest HNW population – could be home to more than US$14.5 trillion in HNW wealth. China alone will account for over 50% of this total, according to Julius Baer. At the same time, the region is undergoing a massive transfer of wealth from the first to second generation, with Asia’s UHNW segment expected to pass on upwards of US$1 trillion to a younger generation.

In partnership with Transamerica Life Bermuda, this year’s survey investigates the industry’s perception of retirement planning, clients’ needs for retirement and succession planning and the role of HNW retirement-planning insurance solutions in client portfolios.
