Thailand domestic AUM reaches US$198 billion, intl players grew 19%
Thailand’s domestic private banks and wealth managers grew their total AUM to US$198 billion in 2025, up 14% from a year ago, driven by strategic partnerships with global players, increased next-gen engagement, and enhanced regional corridors. As for the country’s international players, total AUM grew 19% to reach US$8 billion.
Taiwan AUM hits US$200 billion milestone
In 2025, Taiwan’s private banks and wealth managers grew their total AUM by 17% to US$214 billion, after reaching the US$180 billion milestone in 2024. All players reported positive AUM changes in 2025, with an average 19% increase per firm, driven by increased attention to multi-generational family offices and succession planning, alongside greater cross-border reach.
Philippines AUM cross US$85 billion
Despite recording slower growth than in 2024 and 2023, Philippines’ private banks and wealth managers’ total AUM increased 16% to cross US$85 billion, with all players in the table displaying positive AUM growth. Increasing their AUM by 14% on average, players in the Philippines saw trends of global footprint expansion and increased cross-border access, alongside attention to next-gen and wealth transfer in 2025.
Malaysia AUM grew the most out of Asia markets
Malaysia’s private banks and wealth managers grew their total AUM to US$118 billion, reflecting an accelerated 18% growth from the previous year and the highest growth among all markets within the Asia markets tables. With trends of deepened client segmentation as well as talent upscaling and upskilling, all firms in the league table recorded AUM increases, with the majority reporting double-digit growth of up to 39%.
Indonesia AUM crossed US$80B, despite slower momentum
In 2025, Indonesia’s private banks and wealth managers recorded 9% growth, reaching US$83 billion in total AUM. The market’s growth slowed down from 2024’s 15% and 2023’s 22%, with increased attention on internal and external collaborations alongside sustainable growth. Almost all players experienced AUM growth despite negative currency effects, with an average growth rate of 7% per bank.
