Workshop 4: The new credit playbook: Dispersion, micro-cycles, and event-driven opportunities

This workshop examines how elevated dispersion and increasingly acute micro-cycles are reshaping the opportunity set across global credit markets. While the broader credit cycle has remained relatively resilient, localized dislocations driven by technology disruption, liquidity conditions, macro volatility, sector-specific pressures, policy shifts, and issuer-specific catalysts are creating increasingly divergent outcomes beneath the surface.

The session will explore how opportunistic and event-driven strategies can identify asymmetric opportunities across public and private markets by underwriting situational complexity and looking through short-term noise and volatility. We will also discuss how flexible opportunistic credit allocations can complement traditional fixed income and private market portfolios in a higher volatility regime.
