Overview

Asian Private Banker’s 2023 DPM Leaders Conversation is a high-powered closed-door, in-person thought leadership forum for DPM professionals working in private wealth management in Asia Pacific.

Featuring the biggest names from the biggest banks offering Discretionary Portfolio Management services, the half-day think tank will bring together private bank specialists with product manufacturers to tackle the overarching issue of how to grow DPM mandates through exemplary service and performance standards.

Product manufacturers will join asset specialists from DPM teams to discuss macro indicators affecting specific mandates, clients’ needs and demands, long-term performance characteristics and the optimal construction of model and tailor-made mandates designed more specifically for the Asia Pacific client base.

Agenda

09:05 – 09:50 Opening Panel: A shift to mainstream: How is investor appetite changing the landscape of DPM penetration in Asia?

– What are the opportunities for fixed income investing vs. equities in 2023, and how are strategies shifting in each of these asset classes?
– To what extent are private banks offering private market investment opportunities through DPM mandates? What are the likely trends in client penetration in the alternatives DPM space?
– While some economic forecasts see China possibly delivering the best return of any major stock market in 2023, how are mandate strategies shifting to ensure the right level of exposure to the Chinese market?
– Many banks have seen stronger performance from including short-dated investment grade bonds in their mandates – is this trend likely to continue through 2023?
