The China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) has approved setting up of branches on the Mainland for five Taiwanese banks. These include the Shanghai branches of First Commercial Bank, Cathay United Bank, Land Bank of Taiwan as well as Kunshan branch of Chang Hwa Commercial Bank and Suzhou branch of Taiwan Cooperative Bank, according to a statement issued by the regulator….
