As one awards submission cycle moves towards the finish line, another is about to begin.
First, a thank you to everyone who has submitted entries for Asian Private Banker’s 14th Asset Management Awards for Excellence (AMA). We have seen strong engagement from across the asset management community, with firms putting forward strategies, capabilities and ideas that reflect the increasingly sophisticated needs of Asia Pacific’s private wealth market.
For those who have not yet submitted, a reminder that AMA submissions close on 31 August. If you are still working on an entry, there is still time to get your submission in before the deadline.
And now, we turn our attention to the next chapter.
Submissions for our 16th annual Asian Private Banker Awards for Distinction (AFD) will open on 1 September.
Over the years, AFD has grown alongside the region’s private wealth industry, reflecting an increasingly competitive market where clients expect more from their advisors, institutions and investment partners.
This year, that backdrop is particularly relevant, with wealth managers navigating shifting rate expectations, persistent macroeconomic uncertainty and increasingly globalised portfolios, while clients become more active, informed and discerning.
For us, awards season is also an opportunity to engage directly with the people shaping the industry. Once submissions are in, our pitch meetings give us the chance to hear more about firms’ businesses, achievements, strategies and priorities, and to understand how they are responding to a rapidly changing market.
These conversations are an invaluable part of our editorial work. As the region’s largest and most connected team of private wealth journalists, they give us a first-hand view of where Asia’s wealth management industry is heading and what matters most to the people shaping it.
Just as importantly, they give us a chance to catch up, exchange views and simply say hello to the many industry contacts we have built relationships with over the years.
With another awards cycle underway and a busy few months ahead, we look forward to hearing from you, meeting with you and continuing the conversation.
Good luck to everyone entering this year’s awards, and we look forward to seeing many of you along the way.
