Banks “have no choice” when receiving account freezing orders from law enforcers

Banks in Hong Kong have taken a fair amount of flak following their freezing of a number of bank accounts of prominent people and organisations without providing a reason. Citing suspicions of money laundering, the Hong Kong police over the past few weeks asked banks to freeze the accounts of former Democratic Party lawmaker Ted Hui and his family members…
