We are delighted to win three Awards for Distinction from Asian Private Banker for 2022: Best Domestic Private Bank – CIO Office; Best Domestic Private Bank – Discretionary Portfolio Management; and Best Domestic Private Bank – Digital Innovation and Services. The recognition reflects the calibre and dedication of our team members who provided clients with the very best services in a year that was marked by unexpected events, market volatility and uncertainty. What was behind the judges’ decision?

  • SCB’s CIO office works closely with in-house experts and third-party providers to bring clients appropriate investment solutions. One example of this that impressed the judging panel was the bank’s Alpha Fund mandate. This concentrated portfolio of seven-to-15 stocks offers a high potential of risk-adjusted returns over the long term. The solution, which is guided by the CIO office, has provided significant outperformance over time
  • Across both strategic and tactical asset allocation, SCB’s CIO office has provided its clients with meaningful alpha across both short- and long-term investment horizons
  • Emphasising ESG and sustainability, the bank’s CIO office integrates considerations such as climate change impact, inequality, and environmental footprint reduction in its asset allocation and products. SCB has around 80 ESG focused funds on its shelf
