What was behind the judges’ decision?

  • Robust expansion and increased penetration of Asian private banking franchise into fast-growing markets, including onshore mainland China, Taiwan and Thailand
  • Deeper penetration into key UHNW client segment, including key hires and the roll-out of bespoke solutions across lending, mandates and family office advisory
  • Strong evidence of increased and effective collaboration across HSBC group and client continuum, demonstrated by a significant rise in client referrals, including from commercial, global and retail banks
  • Transformative developments in digital technology that have markedly boosted client experience, including the launch of digital discretionary portfolio management (DPM) in the region and online trading of structured products
