Breakout sessions
Workshop 1: Quantitative value – Exploiting market inefficiencies systematically Markets are inefficient as prices deviate from intrinsic value, while investor behavioural biases amplify valuation peaks and troughs. Further to that, these inefficiencies could persist over extended periods of time and over different frequencies. Could these mispricings be exploited? Is there an opportunity for alpha generation through an active, disciplined, and systematic approach? Hear from Dr. Joanna Nash, senior quant PM and head of portfolio management at RQI Investors, on how RQI Investors combine quantitative analysis with proprietary alpha signals and the team’s market experience to capture market mispricing and deliver alpha. Speaker:Dr. Joanna Nash
Senior Quant Portfolio Manager & Head of Portfolio Management, RQI Investors Hosted by
Workshop 2: Securitized fixed income – a strategic edge in the interest rate cycle Investors are at a pivotal moment – recalibrating portfolios for a potential interest rate easing cycle. The traditional balancing act, a “cash plus” solution paired with longer-duration exposures, is evolving in anticipation of this key event. From AAA-rated CLOs to agency mortgages, securitized fixed income offers a strategic edge over this traditional approach for investors to optimize their fixed income exposure while making the most of the current macro environment. Meanwhile, a multi-sector approach allows the diversification of sources of returns across the entire fixed income space as it seeks the most attractive opportunities while providing balance between spread and duration return drivers. Join Janus Henderson’s fixed income investment specialist Alexis Lavergne to learn more about the dynamic world of securitized fixed income and how to navigate the interest rate cycle with precision and confidence. Speaker:Alexis Lavergne
Fixed Income Investment Specialist, Janus Henderson Investors Hosted by
Workshop 3: Resilience in global IG – Role of portfolio construction and climate risks integration Climate change arguably represents the largest long-term systemic risk in credit portfolios. The scale and urgency of change needed to ensure global greenhouse gas emissions are aligned with a 1.5 degrees Celsius pathway will impact every part of the global economy. Aviva Investors invests with a dual objective, which they believe are equally important and positively aligned to deliver 1) long term capital growth, and 2) investing in bonds of companies responding to climate change effectively. Join Aviva Investors’ senior portfolio manager, Thomas Chinery, to understand and discuss how you can invest in debt securities with the aim of achieving positive climate outcomes while delivering investment grade returns. Speaker:Thomas Chinery
