While Europe’s economic recovery remains on track, the appreciation of the euro threatens to drag the region’s inflation rate lower, according to Pictet Wealth Management. “We estimate that the 4.8% rise in the trade-weighted currency since the June meeting will force the ECB staff to cut its 2018 inflation forecast by about 20bp, from 1.3% to 1.1%,” the bank said…
