SFC amends fee disclosure requirements for discretionary accounts

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has amended its Code of Conduct on fee disclosure requirements for discretionary accounts, requiring specific fee disclosures on all “explicit remuneration arrangement[s]”. The consultation conclusion stated that discretionary account managers will be required to disclose monetary benefits received based on investment product type and that disclosures should be made before any client agreement is signed….
