What is the APB Summit 2021?

APB Summit 2021 is Asian Private Banker’s flagship event, bringing you industry insights and investment solutions to service Asia’s U/HNWI client base.

The 2021 edition of APB Summit is a hybrid event, where we will be hosting a live conference at the Island Shangri-La in Hong Kong on Tuesday, 1 December 2021, with a virtual stream running concurrently for selected sessions, allowing those not able to travel to Hong Kong to attend the event in person to still experience the content.

What are the types of attendee passes available?

All Access Pass: The All Access Pass is suitable for Hong Kong-based attendees, who will gain physical access to exclusive C-Suite panels and interviews, exhibitor booths, product workshops and live networking with other participants.

Virtual Pass: The Virtual Pass is suitable for attendees who are unable to attend the live event but would like to gain access to selected sessions of APB Summit at their own convenience. This Pass enables virtual attendees to livestream the workshop sessions and visit virtual sponsor booths.

How much does it cost to attend APB Summit 2021?

Access to APB Summit 2021 is free of charge to eligible participants. Access is restricted to private bankers, IWMs, SFOs/MFOs and regulatory professionals. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please contact [email protected]

How do I register?

Registration to APB Summit 2021 can be made online via apb.events/apbsummit. Click ‘REGISTER’ on the top right of the page based on your pass type selection. Once you have completed the registration form, you will receive an acknowledgement email while we process your registration.

Please note, all registrants will be screened by Asian Private Banker.

Once your registration is approved, a confirmation email will be sent to you with specific event details and/or access details. If for any reason we are unable to process your All Access Pass, you will automatically be registered and granted a Virtual Pass.

Can I share my access information with my colleagues?

Each registration is unique to you and non-transferable. Attendees to the live event will be required to present identification (via business card) for verification purposes.

You are encouraged to ask your colleagues to register via apb.events/apbsummit.

If you would like to register on behalf of someone, you are able to do so but you must ensure that they are aware and that they comply with our Terms & Conditions.

Can I get training hours at this event?

Viewing Certificates are available upon request for both live attendees of the APB Summit in Hong Kong, and virtual attendees who join us live on 1 December 2021 between 9:00am – 1:00pm (UTC+08:00). Please send in your request to [email protected] with the following details:

What measures are being taken to ensure my safety to reduce the risk of the spread of Covid-19?

To ensure the safety of all of our attendees, clients, and staff, APB Summit 2021 will comply with health protocols put in place by the HK Government, and our venue partner, Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong.

These measures include:

  • Mandatory QR code scanning via the “LeaveHomeSafe” mobile application
  • Temperature checks will be conducted prior to entry to the event. Individuals with a temperature above 37.5 degrees Celsius and/or those that display flu-like symptoms will be denied entry
  • Face masks must be worn throughout the duration of the event
  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfection of the premises

In addition, we ensure that we only partner with a Venue that implements and observes the latest advice and regulations from the HK Government. All venue staff and working staff must provide a negative COVID-19 test result once every 14 days or have completed a COVID-19 vaccination course, recognised for use in Hong Kong.

Do I need to produce a negative Covid-19 test result to attend the event?

No, a negative Covid-19 test result is not required for attendees to attend the event.

Do I need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to attend the event?

Proof of vaccination is not required, but due to social gathering restrictions issued by the HK Government, which determine the total number of physical attendees that are allowed for the staging of live events, we will be asking for your vaccination status upon registration. This will not determine your confirmation to the event, but will simply indicate to us and our venue partner the total seating capacity permitted for the staging of this year’s APB Summit in Hong Kong.

Please be rest assured, your response will be treated in confidence and will not be shared with any regulatory authorities.

Can I walk-in and attend the live event at the Island Shangri-La?

No, all participants must be pre-approved prior to the event. Due to gathering restrictions issued by the HK Government, we are only able to accommodate attendees who have been pre-approved to attend the event.

What is the dress code?

Are you hosting a luncheon following the event?

Unfortunately, due to local venue guidelines, we will not be offering a luncheon for APB Summit 2021. The consumption of food and beverage is not permitted throughout the duration of the event, unless otherwise stated by Asian Private Banker in designated areas. Asian Private Banker and venue staff reserve the right to confiscate such items.

What if there are changes to the live event due to Covid-19?

Asian Private Banker will communicate with you via your registered email should there be changes to the running of APB Summit 2021 as a result of government advice relating to live events.

What are the technical considerations to access APB Summit 2021 virtually?

APB Summit 2021 can be accessed via desktop, tablet, or a mobile phone, with an internet connection.

The virtual event supports Google Chrome (Mac/PC) 56 or newer (strongly recommended, better experience), Firefox (Mac / PC) 44 or newer (recommended alternative), Safari (Mac) 11 or newer (recommended alternative), Chrome (Android) 80 or newer and Safari (iOS) 11 or later.

For the best viewing experience, Google Chrome is recommended. You may be able to use other browsers, but they are not officially supported and your experience may be affected.

How do I login?

Once your registration has been approved, you will receive a confirmation email with your access link – please note, this link is unique to you and is non-transferable.

You may also visit apb.events/apbsummit and click “Access Event”. Please input the email address and password you used to register for the event.

What do I need to do on the day of the event?

Half an hour prior to the event, you will receive a reminder email which contains a unique link that will direct you to your access to the APB Summit 2021 website. Here, you want to proceed to the Main Stage tab on the left, and click on the session that is live (or any sessions you want to view on-demand). After a session is complete, it will autoplay into the next session, or you can navigate via the Main Stage.

What if I miss a session?

APB Summit 2021 offers great flexibility. All streamed sessions will be available On Demand so you can revisit any content that you’ve missed or want to rewatch on the event platform until 31 December 2021.
