Michael Blake is CEO Asia for Union Bancaire Privée, having joined UBP in 2016 upon its successful acquisition of Coutts International. In this capacity, he is responsible for the leadership and development of UBP’s wealth management business in Asia.
Michael, with his 20 years of experience, brings to the role a track record of leading cross-cultural teams during periods of growth and transformational change. Previously, he was chief executive of Coutts International, with responsibility for leading its international wealth management business and overseeing its integration with UBP in Europe and Asia. Michael has lived in Asia for much of the past 25 years and is active in various international affairs forums.
He read philosophy, politics and economics at Oxford University and studied Mandarin in Beijing.
Head, Alternative Investments, Wealth Management, Standard Chartered Bank
Mischa joined Standard Chartered Bank in June 2019. Based in Singapore, he is leading the alternative investments team overseeing hedge funds and private markets products. Prior to that, Mischa worked for DBS Bank and Societe Generale Private Banking where he held various positions in Asia and in Europe as product manager in the fund team, covering both traditional and non-traditional investments. He has more than 10 years of experience in the fund management industry. Mischa holds an MSc in finance and banking from the University Paris II Assas and is CAIA Charterholder.
Chief Executive, Hong Kong Branch & Head of Private Banking, Greater China, Bank of Singapore
Rickie joined Bank of Singapore as head of private banking, Greater China, Hong Kong branch, in February 2024. He was also subsequently appointed chief executive, Hong Kong Branch, in April 2024.
Rickie has over 28 years of experience in private banking, wealth management and capital markets. Prior to joining Bank of Singapore, he was the chief executive of the Hong Kong branch and head of global wealth management, Greater China, at Credit Suisse. He has also held several senior leadership roles at Barclays Bank and Goldman Sachs’ Private Wealth Management Department in Hong Kong.
Mr Chan graduated from the University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts (economics).
Chief Investment Officer, North Asia, Standard Chartered Bank
Raymond Cheng is the bank’s chief investment officer for North Asia. He leads a team of investment strategists across mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea to champion the CIO office’s views internally and externally across the affluent segment in the region.
Raymond joined from J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where he was a managing director and functioned as the head of Asia equity strategy for most of his tenure to develop equity and cross-asset thematic investment views. Prior to that, Raymond was head of research at Bank of Communications International, and Bank of China International. He was consistently ranked among the top China/HK strategists by Asiamoney Broker Poll during those years. He had also served as a senior portfolio manager with Mirae Asset Global Investment, managing several regional and China equity mandates. His views have been widely followed by clients and media worldwide.
Raymond hails from Hong Kong, while he studied and started his career in financial and equity analyses in North America in his earlier years. He has a master of Business Administration with Distinction from New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto. He is a CPA and CFA charterholder.
Managing Director, Chief Investment Officer, Southeast Asia & India, Global Private Banking and Wealth, HSBC
James Cheo is chief investment officer, Southeast Asia & India for global private banking and wealth at HSBC. Mr. Cheo is a member of the global investment committee for private banking and wealth management and also a member of the regional investment committee in Asia. In his role, he spearheads the development of investment strategies across all asset classes for private banking and wealth management clients in Southeast Asia.
Prior to rejoining HSBC Private Banking, James was senior investment strategist at Bank of Singapore, where he was responsible for asset allocation and thematic research. Before that, James assumed investment strategist roles at Barclays Wealth Asia. From 2004 to 2009, James served as senior economist at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, where he was part of the team that formulated policy actions for Singapore during the 2008 global financial crisis.
James graduated with first class honours in finance from Nanyang Technological University. He was awarded the chartered financial analyst charter in 2007.
Chief Investment Officer, Asia, HSBC Global Private Banking and Wealth
Cheuk Wan Fan is Chief Investment Officer, Asia for HSBC Global Private Banking and Wealth (HSBC GPB&W) and acts as a member of the Global Investment Committee for HSBC GPB&W and Chair of the Regional Investment Committee in Asia. In this capacity, she oversees the Chief Investment Office in Asia focusing on developing investment strategies and themes across all asset classes for clients in the region. She is also responsible for driving investment content and regional product fulfilment strategies in Asia.
Fan has close to three decades of investment experience. Prior to joining HSBC in 2016, she worked for Credit Suisse Private Banking, serving as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer Asia Pacific in 2013-2015, Head of Equity Research and Head of Research Asia Pacific in 2006-2013. Previously, Fan held senior China equity research roles for 11 years at ABN AMRO Bank, Cazenove Asia, BNP Peregrine Securities and Standard Chartered Securities.
Head of Investment Products & Advisory, Bank of East Asia
Jaye Chiu is the head of investment products and advisory for Bank of East Asia, overseeing all investment products, advisory services and brokerage services provided to personal, high-net-worth, corporate and institutional clients across the bank’s personal banking, private banking, corporate banking and BEA China. In particular, Jaye and his teams have been focusing on adopting technology-driven and cross-border wealth management solutions to benefit BEA’s clients within the region.
Previously, Jaye worked as a managing director and regional head of investment for Bank of Montreal (BMO) Private Bank in Asia, as well as a senior managing director and head of investment for Hong Kong at EFG Bank AG. Prior to these roles, Jaye also held other senior roles in HSBC Private Bank, BNP Paribas Wealth Management and UBS Wealth Management.
Jaye graduated with honours from Tepper School of Business – Carnegie Mellon University in the US. He is a CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst), CIWM (Certified International Wealth Management Diploma) and CPWP (Certified Private Wealth Professional) charter holder. Jaye speaks regularly at financial industry conferences and acts as a judge for various awards within the financial industry in Asia.
Global and Asia-Pacific Head of Alternatives, Global Private Banking and Wealth, HSBC
Mathieu is currently global head and Asia Pacific head of alternatives, in HSBC’s global private banking and wealth division, based in Hong Kong. In this capacity, he oversees the offering of hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate funds and other private investment opportunities to HSBC’s private banking and wealth customers.
Prior to joining HSBC, Mathieu set up the private markets offering of Antarctica Asset Management, a global platform allowing wealth managers to offer their clients access to a curated offering of hedge funds and private market funds.
Before that, Mathieu set up and grew the Asia operations of Moonfare, an online platform allowing private individuals to invest in private equity funds. In the earlier part of his career, Mathieu held various leadership roles at UBS, including leadership of the wealth management private markets distribution team and the institutional investments group for APAC.
Market Head Thailand, Japan and Asia Switzerland, Bank Julius Baer
Shui Wei Ho is the market head for Thailand, Japan and Asia Switzerland at Julius Baer overseeing multiple group heads, and concurrently on the board of directors for SCB-Julius Baer Securities Co. Ltd. in Thailand. An industry veteran with over 25 years of banking experience, she leads teams across various locations to provide comprehensive, holistic investment solutions to clients.
Shui Wei joined Julius Baer in 2022 as group head South East Asia, bringing with her a wealth of expertise in client relationship management, investment portfolio management, and wealth creation. Her skills and experience have propelled her to her current leadership position.
Before joining Julius Baer, Shui Wei was integral to Bank of Singapore both in leading teams of relationship managers covering Thailand and Indochina markets, and in the trading room, where she led multiple investment products businesses including money markets, fixed income and foreign exchange. Prior to Julius Baer, she held senior positions at UBS Investment Bank, UBS Wealth Management and served a decade at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, managing the nation’s reserves and contributing to policy and regulation. Her career spans the global financial centres of London, Switzerland and Singapore, deepening her understanding of the international financial landscape.
Shui Wei graduated with a bachelor’s degree with honours in business from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. She is also a CFA charter holder.
Chief Investment Officer APAC, Deutsche Bank Private Bank
Stefanie was most recently global chief currency strategist, portfolio manager, at asset manager DWS, where she coordinated a team to guide the portfolio managers on strategy in foreign-exchange exposure covering the macro view, positioning and technical analysis.
Based in Singapore, she is responsible for the development for the Asian part of the house view of Deutsche Bank International Private Bank. Prior to DWS, she held different leadership roles at Commerzbank AG and Royal Bank of Canada in Hong Kong, Singapore and London.
Stefanie is a member of the Singapore Foreign Exchange Committee under the Monetary Authority of Singapore. She was nominated and is serving as Co-Vice Chair of the Global Foreign Exchange Committee for a two-year term.
Head of Funds, North Asia, Union Bancaire Privée
YT Kum joined UBP in 2023 as head of funds, North Asia, to enhance the bank’s fund offering and to drive growth and penetration of managed funds in client portfolios in the region.
Before assuming his new role, YT was director of fund solutions at Credit Suisse, where he managed solution advisory and fund selection for clients. Prior to this, he held positions at Manulife Asset Management and Morningstar Investment Management Asia, where he was associate director, responsible for manager research and selection.
YT holds a master’s degree in international and public affairs from the University of Hong Kong and a master’s degree in cultural studies from Lingnan University. He also has a bachelor of business administration with a major in finance and minor in law from City University of Hong Kong. He is a CFA and CAIA charter holder.
Managed Solutions Advisory, Bank of Singapore
Cynthia has over 20 years of industry experience. She joined Bank of Singapore in January 2022 from J.P. Morgan Private Bank where she was the head of asset classes specialists in Asia and was responsible for sales and advisory of funds and single asset classes discretionary mandates. At J.P. Morgan Private Bank, she advised ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices and endowments.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Private Bank in 2017, she was a managed solutions advisory director with Standard Chartered Private Bank, advising high networth clients on managed solutions across Southeast Asia. Before joining Standard Chartered Private Bank in 2015, she spent a decade with Citibank where she was responsible for manager selection. Cynthia spent the earlier part of her career in hedge funds research and asset management
roles.
Managing Director & Chief Investment Strategist, Bank of Singapore
Eli is a managing director and chief investment strategist at Bank of Singapore, and plays a leading role in developing strategic and tactical portfolio asset allocation and thematic strategies across global asset classes and alternative investments for the overall banking group and portfolio management teams. He is a central member of Bank of Singapore’s Investment Committee, which determines the bank’s overall investment direction, and is an internal member of the BOS-CIO Global Advisory Council.
He was previously head of investment strategy, during which he and his team spearheaded the transformation of the group’s investment allocations to alternative investments and oversaw the optimization of target allocations for the group’s medium- and long-term portfolio strategies. Before that, he was the head of equities research and advanced the development of the group’s global equity coverage platform across the US, Europe and Asia and investment processes in equity alpha generation.
Prior to joining Bank of Singapore and the OCBC Group, he was an investment analyst in the fixed income department at the Wellington Management Company in Boston. He began his career as an associate in Charles River Associates, a consulting firm in Boston, specialising in arbitration in the financial sector. Eli also sits on the Wealth Panel of OCBC Group and serves as a member of the Investment Committee for The Salvation Army Singapore. Eli graduated from Harvard University with a master’s degree in statistics.
Head of Wealth Management Hong Kong, BNP Paribas Wealth Management
Lemuel Lee is Head of Wealth Management Hong Kong for BNP Paribas. He is responsible for implementing wealth management’s growth strategy while supporting its teams of talented bankers to deliver value-added solutions to clients in line with our One-Bank strategy.
Lemuel joined BNP Paribas’ wealth management division in 2017 as Head of Investment Services, Hong Kong and Deputy Head of Investment Services, Asia Pacific. He was responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Bank’s investment offering and advisory to clients across traditional and digital channels, the development of discretionary and advisory services as well as the advancement of new initiatives.
Lemuel has over 20 years of investment banking and wealth management experience. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, he was Head of Equities, Asia for J.P. Morgan Private Bank. He also held a long tenure of eight years with J.P. Morgan Corporate & Investment Bank, assuming various leadership positions in equity derivatives distribution and marketing.
Before joining J.P. Morgan, he was with Bear Stearns and Bank of America Merrill Lynch in capital market roles across Hong Kong, Japan, London and New York.
Lemuel obtained a Master’s degree in Commerce and a Master’s in International Business from the University of Sydney. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a Bachelor’s degree in Laws from the University of New South Wales.
Region Head North Asia & Chief Executive Hong Kong, Union Bancaire Privée
Teresa Lee assumed the role of region head for North Asia and chief executive Hong Kong at UBP in August 2024. Based in Hong Kong, she drives the development of UBP’s North Asia business, which encompasses the Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Philippines markets.
With an illustrious career spanning over two decades in the wealth management sector, Teresa has a proven track record as a successful business builder in Asia. Prior to joining UBP, she served in senior leadership positions at several prominent financial institutions. Most recently, Teresa was the head of Greater China and later the vice-chair of Greater China at Bank of Singapore, where she oversaw significant business expansion. Earlier in her career, she held roles as head of relationship management, China at Standard Chartered and as a team head at ABN Amro Private Bank.
Teresa holds a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Technology Sydney. She is known for her comprehensive industry knowledge and deep understanding of the North Asia market. Her expertise in relationship management and her strategic acumen position her well to lead UBP’s expansion in the region and capitalise on growth opportunities in the dynamic wealth management market.
Regional & Hong Kong Head of Discretionary and Funds, Investments and Wealth Solutions, Asia Pacific, HSBC Global Private Banking and Wealth
Lina Lim is the Regional and Hong Kong Head of Discretionary and Funds, Investments and Wealth Solutions, Asia Pacific at HSBC Global Private Banking and Wealth. Lina has over 25 years of industry experience primarily in asset and wealth management.
Prior to joining HSBC Global Private Banking, Lina worked for J.P Morgan Wealth Management over a decade in various capacities. Her most recent responsibility at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management was to spearhead Institutional Wealth Management’s discretionary business in Asia for family offices, endowments, nonprofits and foundations. Before joining J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, Lina was a Responsible Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager with Sumitomo Mitsui Asset Management based in Hong Kong.
Lina is a member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She is an advocate for sustainable investing and has strong passion for charity. She previously served as board member in two non-profit-organisations focusing on women education and wellness. She holds a post graduate certificate on Business Sustainability by Cambridge Institute for Sustainability leadership, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. She was also a speaker at the 4th Global Asset Allocation Focus (GAAF 2019) in Shanghai focusing on ESG investing.
JP, Chairman of Global Wealth Management Asia, Co-Head Wealth Management Asia Pacific, UBS Global Wealth Management; Head and Chief Executive, UBS Hong Kong
Amy has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Since joining UBS in 1995, she has held a number of senior management positions including regional head of ultra high net worth and global family office in Asia. Today, the ultra-high net worth business is the leading wealth manager for ultra-high net worth individuals in the region.
Actively involved in the development of the private banking industry in Hong Kong, Amy chairs the executive committee of the Hong Kong Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA), and is a board member of the Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) and the Hong Kong Academy for Wealth Legacy.
In recognition of her contribution to the wealth management industry, Amy was named Private Banker of the Year in the Asian Private Banker Awards for Distinction 2020 and 2023. She also received the Executive Award at the DHL/SCMP Business Awards 2018 for her efforts in building UBS as a corporate citizen in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong CEO & Head of North Asia, EFG Bank
David Louie is the CEO and head of North Asia, EFG Bank AG, Hong Kong.
David Louie is responsible for driving EFG’s growth momentum in the Hong Kong market and a member of EFG Bank’s Asia business committee. David Louie is a highly experienced wealth management professional with over 38 years in the industry. Before joining EFG, he served as market group head China at Credit Suisse for 11 years. He was also a member of the APAC management committee and an executive officer for Credit Suisse AG’s Hong Kong Branch.
