Gordon Crosbie-Walsh
Chief Executive Officer, Asia, EquitiesFirst

Gordon Crosbie-Walsh is the Chief Executive Officer, Asia at EquitiesFirst.

Gordon oversees all EquitiesFirst operations throughout the Asian region, focusing on business development across the firm’s six offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea and China.

With over three decades of financial services experience, Gordon’s expertise spans chartered accounting, equity research, equity sales as well as investment banking and capital markets analysis.

Prior to joining EquitiesFirst, Gordon was part of the leadership team at several investment banking businesses, including CM Financial and Jefferies Asia, as well as the successful equity capital markets (ECM)/syndicate team at JP Morgan. Previously, he was also Managing Director and Head of Equities and Equity Sales in Hong Kong and China for Deutsche Bank and Salomon Smith Barney. Gordon holds a Bachelor’s degree from Monash University (Chisholm) in Melbourne, Australia.

Gordon is based at the Asia headquarters in Hong Kong, China.

Lemuel Lee
Head of Hong Kong Market, BNP Paribas Wealth Management

Lemuel Lee is Head of Hong Kong Market for BNP Paribas Wealth Management. He leads a team of seasoned bankers and is responsible for client relationships and business development with a strong focus on the Ultra High Net worth segment.

Lemuel joined BNP Paribas’ wealth management division in August 2017 as Deputy Head of Investment Services, Asia Pacific and Head of Investment Services, Hong Kong. He was responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Bank’s investment offering and advisory to clients across traditional and digital channels, the development of discretionary and advisory services as well as the advancement of new initiatives.

Lemuel has over 18 years of investment banking and wealth management experience. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, he was Head of Equities, Asia for J.P. Morgan Private Bank. He also held a long tenure of eight years with J.P. Morgan Corporate & Investment Bank, assuming various leadership positions in equity derivatives distribution and marketing.

Before joining J.P. Morgan, he was with Bear Stearns and Bank of America Merrill Lynch in capital market roles across
Hong Kong, Japan, London and New York. Lemuel obtained a Master’s degree in Commerce and a Master’s in International Business from the University of Sydney. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a Bachelor’s degree in Laws from the University of New South Wales.

Bernard Wai
Head of Asia Pacific, Citi Private Capital Group

Bernard (‘Bernie’) Wai is the Head of Asia Pacific for the Citi Private Capital Group. In this role, he leads the Private Bank’s efforts in the region to meet the increasingly complex needs of clients represented by family offices, private investment companies, and family businesses.

The Citi Private Capital Group brings together the vast resources of Citi to help address client needs in areas including investments, lending, family office services, and liquidity and treasury management.

Bernie has over two decades’ experience in financial services with a long history of serving Citi clients since 2002.

Prior to joining the Private Bank, Bernie was Head of Sales at Citi Retail Cross Asset Solutions where he successfully drove the coverage strategy for the group’s Private Bank, intermediaries, and broad retail channels across Asia, including Japan and India.

Bernie was also previously Head of Pan-Asian Equity Derivatives and Convertible Bond Sales. Before his time at Citi, Bernie was an equity derivatives salesperson covering US hedge funds at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong.

Bernie holds a BSc in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a CFA charter holder, and speaks Cantonese, Putonghua, and English. Bernie is married with two daughters and lives in Hong Kong.
