Jay Lee
Equity Analyst, Morningstar Investment Management Asia Limited

Jay Lee is an equity analyst for Morningstar Investment Management Asia Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc. He covers Chinese and Japanese healthcare companies.

Before joining Morningstar in 2017, Lee was an executive director and Asia head of mortgage
products at Goldman Sachs, where he spent 11 years working on trading desks in New York, Tokyo,
and Hong Kong.

Lee holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Brown University.

Michael Wu
Senior Equity Analyst, Morningstar Investment Management Asia Limited

Michael Wu is a senior equity analyst for Morningstar Investment Management Asia Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc. He covers mainly financials, properties, utilities and conglomerates stocks in Asia.

Wu initially joined Morningstar Australia in 2006, carrying out equity and hybrid research focusing on
telecommunications, gaming, utilities and infrastructure, and small-cap industrials before relocating to Hong Kong in 2013.

Wu holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in finance from the University of New South Wales.
He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.

Phillip Zhong
Senior Equity Analyst, Morningstar Investment Management Asia Limited

Phillip Zhong is a senior equity analyst for Morningstar Investment Management Asia Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc. He covers Hong Kong and China real estate.

Prior to Morningstar, he was an equity analyst with HSBC Global Research covering China real estate. He also worked
for PricewaterhouseCoopers Structured Finance and Real Estate Group, providing advisory services to Fannie Mae and
Freddie Mac.

Zhong holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in
business administration from Columbia University.

Wing Chan
Director of Manager Research Practice, EMEA & Asia, Morningstar Investment Management Asia Limited

Wing Chan is the director of the EMEA and Asia manager research practices at Morningstar
Investment Management Asia Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc.

He is responsible for leading Morningstar’s global cross-border manager research teams based across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, as well as overseeing the delivery of manager research services to financial institutions and intermediaries. Chan was previously director of manager research for Asia.

Prior to joining Morningstar in 2013, Chan was an investment counsellor and vice president for EFG Bank, where he advised on investment solutions for the bank’s clients and relationship managers and contributed to the bank’s mutual fund research and due-diligence effort in Asia. He also worked as an investment associate for Macquarie Private Bank and as an investment consultant for Lonsec Limited.

Chan holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance, with merit, from the University of New South Wales.

Sebastian Enberg (Moderator)
Editor, Asian Private Banker

Sebastian Enberg is the Editor of Asian Private Banker. His background is in international politics, and Chinese foreign policy and security.

Sebastian graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a Master of Strategic Studies majoring in Strategic Intelligence, and more recently, from the City University of Hong Kong with a Master of Arts. In 2012, Sebastian was awarded the university’s Top Scholar Prize for his cohort.
