Arnaud Tellier
CEO, Wealth Management Asia Pacific, BNP Paribas Wealth Management

Arnaud Tellier is CEO, Asia Pacific at BNP Paribas Wealth Management. In this capacity, he is responsible for defining and implementing the strategic objectives for the wealth management franchise in Asia.

This position follows his most recent role as Head of Wealth Management, Singapore and Southeast Asia. He has held prior leadership roles as Head of Investment Services, Asia from 2015 to 2018 and CEO, BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Singapore from 2013 to 2015.

Arnaud comes to this role with a solid background of more than 20 years in capital markets and through various senior positions in Corporate and Investment Banking, as well as Wealth Management, across Europe and Asia.

Arnaud has held senior positions within the Group in London, Paris and Madrid. In 2002, he was appointed Regional Head of Corporate and Investment Banking– Northern & Central Europe and from 2006 to 2010, the CEO and Country Head for Greece. Arnaud was Head of Corporate and Investment Banking for Turkey from 2010 to 2013.

Tan Siew Meng
Regional Head, HSBC Private Banking, Asia-Pacific

Tan Siew Meng was appointed Regional Head of HSBC Private Banking, Asia Pacific, in January 2017. She leads a team of 1,400 dedicated professionals across the region to serve the wealth needs of business owners and their families.

Siew Meng has more than 30 years of banking experience in a wide variety of management roles across Asia, culminating in her being recognised as Asian Private Banker’s Private Banker of the Year in 2019.

Prior to her current position, Siew Meng was the Regional Head of Global Trade and Receivables Finance for HSBC in Asia-Pacific. In this role, she managed the Bank’s trade and supply chain franchise across the region, along with HSBC’s Regional Receivables Finance & Commodity and Structured Trade Finance businesses.

Siew Meng joined HSBC in April 2004 as Director, Corporate and Investment Banking, Singapore, and was subsequently promoted to Head of Commercial Banking for Singapore in 2006. In 2011, she was appointed CEO of HSBC Mauritius, followed by CEO of HSBC Thailand in 2013.
Before joining HSBC, Siew Meng spent more than five years at Citibank, N.A., and held senior roles at Barclays de Zoete Wedd, and DBS Bank.

Siew Meng holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.

Editor, Asian Private Banker

Sebastian Enberg is the Editor of Asian Private Banker. His background is in international politics, and Chinese foreign policy and security.

Sebastian graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a Master of Strategic Studies majoring in Strategic Intelligence, and more recently, from the City University of Hong Kong with a Master of Arts. In 2012, Sebastian was awarded the university’s Top Scholar Prize for his cohort.
