Annie Goh
director, team head, Singapore market, Citi Private Bank
Annie Goh’s impressive track record at Citi Private Bank dates back over 20 years.
Currently a senior private banker and head of the Singapore market team at the US bank, Goh brings deep experience in building and managing her own book of clients. With her hunter mindset firmly rooted, she also leads a team of bankers covering relationship managers alongside her own clients.
With profound knowledge of the Singapore market, she believes that the client relationships spanning decades speak to the trust and meaningful connections she and her team have established.
“These relationships are deeply valued. And the trust the client places in me – this inspires me to keep going,” Goh said.
Although a Citi veteran, Goh honed her wealth management expertise early in her career, starting at UBS in the late 1990s.
At just 14, she volunteered once a week at a school serving children with mild intellectual disabilities. This experience helped her realise that making a difference in another person’s life gave her a sense of purpose far more “real and meaningful” than academic achievements celebrated by society.
“From then on, I was keen on a career which involves helping and building relationships with people,” she said.
While private banking clients can come from privileged backgrounds, Goh believes they need expert advice to grow, preserve, and pass on wealth to the next generation. “Many clients give back meaningfully to society and charitable causes as well, so work aligns with my inner compass.”
Today, Goh continues to volunteer through her church, participating in school ministry to guide and mentor children and youth.
