Handley brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to his role as managing director and market head for Southeast Asia at Deutsche Bank Private Bank. With more than two decades in the banking industry, he has found his rhythm covering Southeast Asian markets, investing significant effort to deepen client relationships.
Since joining Deutsche Bank in late 2024, he has played a key role in delivering bespoke financial solutions tailored for UHNW, entrepreneurs and families with complex international wealth management needs. With a strategic focus on expanding the German lender’s regional presence, Handley leverages his deep expertise in inter-generational wealth transfer to serve sophisticated clients, particularly UHNW individuals and single-family offices in Thailand.
His extensive track record also includes his previous role at HSBC, where he spent seven years overseeing operations in Thailand (both onshore and offshore), Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Notably, he spearheaded the establishment and full licensing of HSBC Global Private Banking’s onshore operations in Thailand, a landmark achievement that strengthened HSBC’s regional footprint. He also expanded offshore coverage across Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines, cultivating enduring client relationships through close collaboration.
