With over 25 years of wealth management experience, Lynda Teo recently marked her 14 years with J.P. Morgan Private Bank. She is a managing director leading a Singapore coverage team within the Southeast Asia market.
Her journey at J.P. Morgan Private Bank has evolved alongside the growing sophistication and awareness of wealth management among Southeast Asia’s clients, especially in planning for their families and future generations.
From guiding families through pivotal moments to leading teams dedicated to excellence, Teo expressed pride in contributing to the growth of the US bank’s business in Asia and fostering a culture of collaboration and mentorship within the firm.
She said: “My journey is defined by deep client partnerships, navigating complex market cycles, and building solutions across generations.”
Before joining J.P. Morgan, Teo was a client advisor at UBS, working in both their Singapore and Hong Kong offices, serving Asia Pacific families and business owners. She has also worked for Citigroup Private Bank Singapore and Credit Agricole (Suisse) Private Bank.
“The past decade and more has shown me the importance of resilience, adaptability, and innovation in banking, and I remain inspired by the trust our clients place in us and excited for what lies ahead,” she shared.
What motivates her is the opportunity to mentor and develop young talent, finding satisfaction in their growth and success within J.P. Morgan. “Supporting the next generation of professionals is a driving force behind my leadership,” she added.
Outside of work, Teo is an avid tennis player, translating the competitive spirit and discipline from the court into her professional life.
She explained that the commitment to continuous improvement and resilience she has developed through tennis training directly influences her approach to career development and leadership.
Teo holds a BA (Hons) in economics from the University of Nottingham, UK, with a focus in finance and banking, and is a Certified Financial Practitioner (CFP) in Singapore.
